Dawn Prall George is a tenacious, vivacious and effervescent professional with extensive fundraising expertise and seemingly unlimited contacts. She has been an invaluable resource for securing corporate sponsorships and creating sustainable relationships with funders. As a part-time consultant in the interim before I was hired, she did much of the work ordinarily expected of a full time development director, worked to move the Foundation along the journey from an events-based program to a donor-centric, major gifts approach, and was an important advisor during my first few months on the job. Dawn enthusiastically draws upon her knowledge, relationships, experience and skills to achieve whatever is asked of her."

Helping Organizations Advance to the Extraordinary

Dawn Prall George creates a positive force that inspires every organization. From the Executive suite to line staff; employees to board members, to vendors, volunteers and the community.

She is a builder from the ground up.

Dawn has trained in boxing and mixed martial arts for more than a decade.  So when it comes to helping organizations get results, she understands the power derived from this “ground up” energy and philosophy.

Expertise for Start-Ups

Worked with a start up company in a new business development and marketing capacity that resulted in exponential growth in strategic relationships, grew the client base and generated new project revenue in an untapped market.

Building Organizational Capacity

Built and strengthened organizational capacity.  Helped non-profit organizations raise millions of dollars in charitable revenue.  Secured funding from all sources:  corporations, private and public foundations, individuals and government.

Spearheaded a pioneering collaboration between two large Philadelphia-based healthcare entities, which resulted in securing a prestigious federal HRSA grant of $1.9M for bioterrorism emergency preparedness – one of 19 in the country.

Capital Campaigns

Extensive knowledge and experience in multi-million dollar capital campaigns which included feasibility studies, research, planning, prospecting, fundraising, planned giving and major gifts.

Signature Events

Piloted signature events and campaign strategies which helped set the stage for revenue growth, expansion and increased market share.

Developed and branded first-ever large scale aging services conference event that drew an audience from across the country focusing on state and national economic and public policy issues; oversight for content development; recruiting expert panelists, speakers and public officials; corporate sponsorship – raised $150k in year one and raised the organizational profile to a national level.

Created the first-ever Girls Night Out – a conversation about women and aging - women’s health event that generated revenue and brought together more than 120 women across the Delaware Valley as part of a strategy to raise the profile and name recognition of a non-profit organization in the broader Philadelphia community as a leader in aging services.

Direct Marketing

In 2000, Dawn created an award-winning Annual Giving Affinity Campaign through the use of market research data, direct mail solicitation and online giving.  She created a legacy.  That campaign is going strong and is now one of the biggest sources of revenue for the organization.

Strategic Branding and Marketing

Led a strategic branding and marketing initiative that resulted in creating a new mark and core messaging for a high profile Philadelphia start-up foundation.

Organizational Dynamics

Created and implemented an effective Grant Readiness Team model involving physicians and key staff throughout a major healthcare organization that generated more than $15M in proposals and secured $6M in funding in two years.  She created and launched a large-scale internal marketing and PR campaign which resulted in 15 new Grant Readiness multidisciplinary teams working simultaneously on their projects.
