Who Is CopperBeech?

Founded in 2011 by Dawn Prall George, CopperBeech is a unique consulting practice that specializes in helping for profit and not for profit organizations throughout the Philadelphia region and beyond advance to the extraordinary.  As a solo practitioner with a relationship-centric, hands-on approach Dawn helps to build resource capacity and fuel organizational growth through fund development, new business development, strategic guidance and planning services.

The Fit - What Sets Us Apart?

I function as your “staff” in essence, you “rent me”, not just my name and expertise and then a junior associate does all of the work.  You get customized expertise and deliverables, not templates and boilerplate counsel.  Most likely, I am not going to be the lowest price, especially in this economy.  Like many purchases in life, it holds true in fund development and strategic counsel, “you get what you pay for”.  My promise to clients is that I will access and unleash every resource and the expertise I have available that is in your best interest and help you accomplish your goals.

Core Values

Do things right because it is the right thing to do

Uphold and Encourage Integrity

Empower People and Organizations

Embrace Uncertainty

Think Big and Make Dreams Happen

A high-energy, compassionate executive who is known for her ability to develop and sustain key relationships at all levels in diverse settings and situations.  Dawn has more than 20 years of professional experience in fund development, marketing and government relations for organizations such as Big Brothers, Big Sisters of America, Maternity Care Coalition, Einstein Healthcare Network and Wesley Enhanced Living.  She also served as the Executive Director of The Philadelphia Holocaust Rememberance Foundation, a start up Foundation in Philadelphia.

Civic Engagement

Dawn's strong commitment to serving others transcends her professional role as she actively devotes her time and energy in a volunteer leadership capacity to many healthcare, youth empowerment and social services organizations and political campaigns.  She has served as board chairman of the Philadelphia Senior Center, vice president of The Birth Center board, a founder of Five County Women Democrats, and has been involved in many committees and advisory groups for a variety of not for profit organizations.  She currently serves on the Board of Green Woods Charter School and Chairperson of the Green Tree Community Health Foundation Annual Golf & Tennis Tournament.
